Pair Trawling: When a vessel displays the Tango flag, it indicates that it is engaged in pair trawling operations. Pair trawling involves two vessels towing a single net between them to catch fish. The flag warns other vessels to keep a safe distance to avoid getting entangled in the fishing gear or disrupting the operation.

Code Flag Tango (T)
Nautical or signal flags are used at sea to convey messages over long distances. Only black, blue, red, white and yellow are used because these are the only colours readily distinguished at sea. Many different coding schemes have been used, but the International Code is the most common.
