Anchor

An anchor is a heavy object, typically made of metal, attached to a vessel by a chain or rope. It is used to keep the vessel in place by holding it firmly to the seabed. An anchor is deployed by lowering it over the side of the vessel until it reaches the bottom, where it digs into the seabed, providing stability and preventing the vessel from drifting.
