This topic focuses on how to assess risk of collision using all available means. You will learn why early and continuous assessment matters and how to confirm whether a risk exists.

This topic covers the steering and sailing rules that define give way and stand on responsibilities. You will learn how to apply the rules quickly and correctly in common encounter situations.
