    Goose-winged

    Goose-winged is a sailing term that refers to a sailing vessel with its mainsail set on one side of the boat and the headsail (jib or genoa) set on the opposite side. This configuration is used when sailing downwind, allowing the sails to catch the wind from both sides of the boat, resembling the outstretched wings of a goose. It can help maximise sail area and improve downwind performance.
